Wheels from the Heart

Wheels from the Heart marks a milestone with star power and a mission that’s changing lives

When a single mom gets a set of keys, she gets more than a car — she gets a way forward.

That’s how Steve Muschlitz, founder of Wheels from the Heart, sums up the work that has now transformed the lives of 200 families. What began as a simple, heartfelt idea, to provide reliable vehicles to single mothers in need, has become a life-changing mission. For these women, transportation is more than convenience… it’s the bridge to employment, education, stability, and independence.

In Episode 84 of The Paige Kornblue Show, Muschlitz joined me from the road to share the nonprofit’s journey. He was joined by Brenda Schultz, a Boca Raton resident and former professional tennis player who reached World No. 9 and once served a 130 mph ball… the 8th fastest serve ever recorded by a woman. Now, she’s helping drive the organization’s work forward.

The next chapter for Wheels from the Heart is a celebration months in the making: Simple as Black & White: 200 Keys to Freedom. Set for Thursday, August 14, at Crazy Uncle Mike’s in Boca Raton, the evening will honor the donation of the organization’s 200th vehicle to a single mom and her children. Guests can expect a classic car show, live and silent auctions, raffles, lite bites, and beverages… all for a good cause.

Adding to the excitement is a guest list brimming with star power:

Ricky Williams, Heisman Trophy winner and NFL legend whose career included over 10,000 rushing yards, remains one of the sport’s most dynamic and thoughtful figures.

Coach Butch Davis, a fixture in both NFL and college football, led the University of Miami to a national championship and helmed the Cleveland Browns and North Carolina Tar Heels.

Thomas “Hollywood” Henderson, Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Champion, is celebrated not only for his flair on the field but for his story of redemption and advocacy.

Brenda Schultz, representing Boca’s own, brings her champion’s drive to the cause she now calls a passion project.

Pedro Munhoz, UFC bantamweight contender, admired for his resilience and grit, joins the lineup of community champions.

“Reaching our 200th car is a true milestone and a reminder of the real impact a single vehicle can have on a mom working hard to provide for her children,” Muschlitz said. “We’re excited to celebrate this achievement with our supporters, our community, and some incredible guests who believe in the power of giving back.”

General admission tickets to the are $50, with all proceeds directly funding future car donations for single mothers. The event’s energy, like the mission itself, is rooted in hope and momentum and in the idea that the right set of keys can open the door to a brighter future.

Muschlitz encourages car owners to consider donating their vehicles to Wheels from the Heart when they’re ready for their next one… not only is it a strong tax deduction based on Kelley Blue Book value, but it’s also one of the most rewarding ways to change a family’s future.
