Open Court Serves South Florida Youth

Introducing the sport of tennis to underserved South Florida youth and how you can help

Open Court is serving up a lot of goodness in Boca Raton this season. Open Court is a newer charity on the South Florida circuit and is one already making quite a difference in the lives of area youth.

Open Court’s mission is to enrich the lives of youth through tennis and as evident on The Boca Raton Racquet Clubs court last week, the non-profit organization is doing just that.

“Open Court is about the love and the joy of tennis and the notion that tennis is open to everyone… and we want to make sure that that’s the case,” says Open Court President Elyse Filon.

Open Court currently serves youth in the after-school and summer programs at the Milagro Center and the Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton.

“It is so important because it gives our particular demographic of kids an opportunity to experience something they probably never would have experienced. They’re having fun with new activities,” says Jamari Grant, Boys & Girls Club of Boca Raton Executive Club Director.

“That’s what we do. We teach the kids the magic of tennis,” adds Filon.

If you are a nonprofit interested in starting an after school tennis program, or an individual or organization interested in joining the Open Court team or sponsoring their clinics, contact Open Court at www.opencourtboca.com
